Under the general direction of the Director of Internal Audit, the individual will be responsible for reviewing and appraising the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting and operating controls while performing both financial and operational audits for Meridian Health hospitals and partner companies.
Major responsibilities of this position include identifying, conducting and producing audits, audit plans, audit programs, audit work-papers and audit reports for items contained on the Meridian Health Risk Assessment as well as additional audit needs as identified. Candidate should have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements including billing, reimbursement and financial regulations. Must possess excellent analytical skills, communicate well with others and be able to work independently as well as on interdisciplinary teams.
1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
2. MBA, MPA or related degree desired.
3. Minimum work
Experience: 3-5 years audit experience, preferably in health-care
4. Desired work
Experience: 5-10 years health-care auditing. Fraud experience a plus.
5. Required Licenses/Certifications: CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA
6. Required Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel and ACL. Knowledge of Lawson Financial and HR Systems a plus. Individual should possess polished investigational skills as well as interpersonal skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
