POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this new role, the Voluntary Benefits Practice Leader will drive the entire Voluntary Benefits practice and will focus on growth across all of the applicable BSG US Product Towers.
This position has responsibility for ensuring the appropriate capabilities and resources are applied to the business to drive profitable growth.
The position will be accountable to the Tower Heads for driving Voluntary Benefits P&L, including management of both top line and bottom line.
This role will develop cross-tower Voluntary Benefits product growth strategies and initiatives and for informing and influencing decisions, including active review of product, pricing, underwriting and sales activities and strong partnership with legal, compliance, and operations organizations.
This individual will establish new product development priorities for the Voluntary Benefits portfolio and serve as the thought leader on the Voluntary Benefits market.
The Voluntary Benefits Practice Leader reports to the Head of Business and Market Alignment and leads the following primary
Responsibilities:
Immediate Performance Objectives:
Development of Voluntary Benefits strategy and growth:
- Assess gaps in Voluntary Benefits capabilities
- Develop and gain buy-in for business cases to execute strategy
- Review Voluntary Benefits market performance and drive strategic direction of the business and achievement of growth and profitability targets
- Partner with Legal and Compliance on legislative and regulatory topics impacting the market and the product portfolio
- Provide direction for sales, claims and underwriting teams relating to the Voluntary Benefits market
Drive innovation for Voluntary Benefits products:
- Develop Voluntary Benefits product development strategy and priorities - Inform development of solutions-oriented products and capabilities
- Develop plan to maximize solutions-based sales across the full spectrum of Benefit Solutions Group products in partnership with product tower peers
- Establish process for systematic, on-going market and field inputs
Lead execution of Voluntary Benefits strategy:
- Ensure integration of product, marketing, sales, underwriting and operations
- Maintain strong understanding of changing legislative, regulatory, market and competitive landscape to drive growth in voluntary benefits
- Develop business cases for new capabilities, tools, products and product enhancements and prioritize Voluntary Benefits worksite product development and filing initiatives
- Inform Benefit Solutions Group enrollment as a complementary and integral component of the Voluntary Benefits worksite product
- Partner with Enrollment, Sales, Marketing and Operations to understand enrollment capabilities and ensure alignment with Voluntary Benefits strategy
Supporting Performance Objectives:
o Achieve sales and profitability goals for Voluntary Benefits o Develop strong relationships with functional area business partners, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Underwriting and Operations o Develop a strong understanding of the interdependencies of the AIG corporate functions and business units
o Achieve in-depth knowledge of Benefit Solutions Group products, processes and technology o Keep up-to-date with financial services and insurance industry trends, with a keen focus on the consumer
o Perform regular and comprehensive competitive analysis, using all available data sources, including but not limited to customer research, industry data sources; field, broker and industry contacts; and publicly available competitor information
o Support the sales force in meeting their objectives by providing competitive capabilities and offerings, value propositions, and market and competitive trend analysis
o Provide leadership to help build product integration function and instill high-performance culture

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
o 10
years of related experience with at least five years in Voluntary Benefits
o Established track record of execution in the Voluntary Benefits market
o Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively within a highly-matrix organization and with employees at all levels
o Well organized, with a high degree of initiative and endurance in order to prioritize, multi-task, maintain flexibility and ultimately to meet and exceed deadlines in fast-paced, changing environment
o Strong analytic, problem-solving and project management skills o Financial acumen
o Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
o Strong collaboration and relationship building skills; demonstrated organizational savvy
o Demonstrated success in leading major change and transformation initiatives
o Bachelor's degree requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
